IDH fungeert ook als kenniscentrum. Het documenteren en verspreiden van best practices, modellen, studies en onderzoeken naar het versnellen van duurzame handelsketens is een belangrijk onderdeel van het werk van IDH.

Booklets
Ter gelegenheid van één jaar IDH (november 2009) publiceert IDH een serie van zes Engelstalige uitgaven over duurzaamheid en mainstream bedrijfsleven met voorbeelden van best practices rondom zes thema’s. De uitgaven vormen achtergrondinformatie bij workshops rond dezelfde thema's die op het congres Accelerating Sustainable Trade dat op 2 november 2009 in Haarlem plaatsvindt worden gegeven.
