Strategic Programme Developer
IDH is recruiting a strategic programme developer. A deal-maker who can think and act strategically and can push developments forwards in complex multi-stakeholder international environments. He or she needs to have solid experience in agro-commodities and in building alliances for change and must have the ability to both think strategically and act in a result-oriented fashion. As the programme developer will head a team of program managers he or she must have experience in leading teams and guiding program managers and junior staff.
Responsibilities
Strategy and programme development
- Setting of overall strategy and direction of IDH, together with IDH director
- Development and scoping of new sector programmes
Programme leadership

Monitor and -if required- adjust the strategic direction of 3-5 IDH sector programmes (including the learning component).

Act as ‘heavy hitter’ when senior input in a programme is required
People management
- Line management of 3-4 programme managers and junior programme staff
- Line management of 1-2 learning managers
Senior account management
- Key account management for inter-sectoral partners
- Lead fundraising efforts at institutional donors and foundations
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working in the commercial agro-commodity sector
- Experience working in the field of sustainability and supply chain management
- Master’s degree working level
- Demonstrated leadership in building alliances/partnerships, preferably in multi-stakeholder context.
- Experience in managing a team of senior professionals
- Experience in working with social partners and/or working in developing countries.
- Preferably experience in fundraising activities

Conditions

Gross salary, depending on relevant working experience, between €80.000,- and €100.000,- per year, based on 40 hours per week.

The position is for 32 – 40 hours per week.

The duration of the IDH is until 2015.
