Former senior CEO from Philips joins IDH
On May 1 Ted van der Put starts as Programme Director at IDH. He will be acting as strategic deal-maker to push developments forwards in several IDH sector programmes. Ted van der Put: ‘I think IDH with it’s convening power provides a constructive model to transform markets through demand driven public private partnerships. Multinational organizations with all their reach, management skills, creativity, and technology now can play their part in shifting the paradigm towards sustainability. With my background I hope to be instrumental in helping that shift unfold at a boardroom level.’
Ted van der Put: ‘I really feel that multinational corporations should lead the way in demonstrating how to move from serving shareholders to serving all its stakeholders including the earth. That does not mean I am suggesting that multinationals should be turned into philanthropical institutes. But with their procurement power they can make change happen. I was very impressed when I was at the IDH congress last year. Since then IDH has been on my mind as a future working place and that feeling grew stronger after talking to people close to IDH. The organization is a vibrant and exciting place to work and I really look forward to play my part in creating mainstream market transformation’.
